Feeding The Scene
September 15, 2008
Q has brought the scene another site thats a great idea, but the people wont realise it, so we’re here to give that little extra exposure that will take it up a level or two, basically his new site FMScene.co.uk collects all the latest updates from sites across the scene which have RSS feeds. What this basically means is that in one place you can get all the latest guides, articles, tips and hints from sites across the scene, sounds great? It gets better.
Q’s also went out of his way to make our lives even easier, again, aswell as a collection of RSS feeds FMScene.co.uk plays host to a FM Search Engine that searches sites for anything you want, so if youre after a tactic that replicates Holland’s Euro 2008 run just type it in and you’ll be greeted by this screen, look at the top result and Voila.
So there you go, a quick little plug for a very useful little website.
Goal-kick Panel: July
July 22, 2008
Yes, Goal-Kick’s very own panel is back! This time it will have a more “FM-ed flavor”, but I hope it will remain enjoyable for all. We have some important guests this month.. Let’s start with 2 admins: FM-View’s Mase and FM Discussion owner, Matt both accepted our invitation. Who doesn’t remember “Dreams of beating Juventus”? Well just to refresh our memories, we also have Tanel here, along with other 2 great writers. Fever-Pitch’s David and G-K’s very own Levo will join the trio to give you an insight of their FM related visions.
Miles Jacobson Introduces FML
May 20, 2008
Posted up on YouTube today was the following video to introduce people to the world of Football Manager Live. For the community regulars it won’t be anything new, but for those who like myself avoided the beta testing like the plague then it’ll begin to introduce the “Game Worlds” to you.
On another (majorly off topic) note - Does Miles look how you were expecting? When I met him for the first time last month I was expecting someone at least a foot taller! Then again it’s good to see that the man at the top is as normal and down to earth as the rest of us - Just a shame he won’t share his designer wardrobe budget with us.
Anyway enough waffle, here’s the Vid …
The Goal Kick Panel: February Edition
March 8, 2008
Well, it’s a bit overdue by any means, but it’s here at last, the February edition of the Goal Kick Panel. Joining this month is FM-View Admin Zabier, FMG Live moderator Simmo, FM-Britain admin JP, GK’s very own Skacel, and FMDiscussion moderator DREWcorp.
Proof that FM lives on outside of our community ..
February 10, 2008
Anyone ever used StumbleUpon? It’s a great way of going all the way around the internet and back again by clicking a button and going to a random website (One day I even reached the end of the internet!!). Anyway I hit the stumble button and ended up Reading this article on Managing England Vs Switzerland.
My Favourite quote has to be ..
given Capello’s MO it will probably be only marginally more exciting than a PC game that looks like a spreadsheet.
Definitely a different way to describe this years skin!!
A Year On The Scene
February 9, 2008
JC talks us through his first full year on the FM Scene. From humble beginnings, to a sudden rise in popularity, it’s certainly been a busy 12 months for him, Here’s his story. Read more
Around the Scene in 43.18 seconds
January 30, 2008
Phileas Fogg took 80 days to circumnavigate the globe, Michael Johnson took 43.18 seconds to run 400 metres. Somehow I feel a trip around the scene is going to be closer to “Magic’s” record than Phileas’ attempt.
Enough with Analogies and waffle, on with the trip …
We’ve Become Elitist!
January 21, 2008
And we did it without even trying. Now offending FM-Britain and the Portal in one go wouldn’t be advisable at the best of times but we managed it. So I’d like to apologise for JC not Inviting them to our Christmas Party and linking to their response to our Christmas Panel, Click Here to read it.
The Goal-Kick Panel - Admin New Year’s Special
January 2, 2008
The GK Panel has returned for a New Year Admin Special, as I’ve brought in admins from 5 sites that caught my attention and have seen rapid surges in activity this month. This month, I’ve been discussing scene matters with JordanC from Get Sacked!, Mase from Manager Crisis, Frankie 7 from FMG Live, Bozza from FMFormation and Kazzy from Throw In.
The Goal Kick Panel - November 2007
November 5, 2007
The Goal Kick Panel goes outside of it’s comfort zone this month and with good reason. The release of Football Manager 08, what do people think? And what do you think about what they think? We have 6 questions this month for 5 participants, if your interested scroll down and take a look. Why are you here if you’re not?
