Im just going to have a quick rundown of a couple of leagues Id like to see in the next FM, theres still time yet for SI to announce new leagues and who knows, maybe they’ll be kind and give us a host of new leagues!

Now, this is just an article because I’m feeling old, nostalgic and I felt like I should alienate anyone new to the scene here. What an impression to make – brilliant eh? No – this is just a winding ramble about a game made back in the heady days where there wasn’t a care in the world, none of this recession or war lark. It’s a game we all love called CM 01-02 and I’ll tell you why it’s the best game SI have ever made, and probably ever will make.

Since the SI/Eidos split SI have really game out on top in the Football Management Simulation war with Eidos and Fifa Manager, Football Manager continues to be one of the best selling PC games every year it is released. But, the competition is starting to catch up, and these features in the new CM 2010 should definitely be stolen by SI for next year!

So it’s that time again – time to update you on how badly this game is going. It’s tougher than you might think, these players are inexperienced and in a few cases not ready for the rigours of Premiership football – never mind a title tilt, but that’s just me making excuses – which I will carry on doing because quite frankly I need them.
